ISDC has always proudly stood for upskilling through partnerships. In October 2022, 496 students based in Guyana achieved the ISDCs SCQF level 6 Foundation Diploma in Business. Most of these students have gone on to study for an undergraduate diploma. The students in the programme completed the eight modules and the corresponding assessments entirely online. Most students were mature learners from disadvantaged backgrounds and qualified for World Bank funding.
The programme was taught by a team of enthusiastic lecturers based in India who happily delivered sessions at 5 am local time to cater to their working students' needs. The feedback from the teaching team is that it was a joy to teach such motivated learners, even with the challenges of time zone and technology. The learners report that they genuinely appreciated the opportunity to return to education. ISDC is now delivering to a second and much larger cohort of online learners in Guyana and is looking forward to celebrating when all holders of its level 6 Diploma graduate.

The ISDC online classes has been great there are many professors that teaches so well, they have lots of patience, dedication and understanding towards the students. I am a stay-at-home mom, taking care of my three children, all attending school and these ISDC online classes provided me with the flexibility I need to continue my studies. The classes are convenient for me, and the tutors exhibit a lot of patience to explain, teach and help me improve.
What are your expectations from the ISDC certification program?This ISDC Certification program will provide me with the qualifications to make myself more marketable in the competitive job environment where I live. With the Knowledge and experience gained from this program, I will be better able to be on top of any job I undertake.
